Enjoy a scenic drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway to the Mount Mitchell State Park and summit. Mount Mitchell is the highest peak east of the Mississippi that offers incredible panoramic views from on top of the summit. After our explorations, we will enjoy a relaxing lunch* at the newly renovated Mount Mitchell Cafe and Eatery.

The summit trail is 300 yrds from the parking lot and paved with a steep incline but with many benches along the way to take in the beautiful views. We can also arrange a ride on a golf cart to the top of the summit with the state park staff if you would like this accommodation.
